Private vehicles are commencing to avail FASTag based annual pass effective 15 August 2025. Its cost is just Rs.3000. The validity of this pass will last one year or 200 trips, whichever will come first. This plan is extremely comfortable to non-commercial cars, jeeps and vans.
Tips On Purchasing Annual Pass
This pass is really easy to purchase. You may access it via Highway Travel Mobile App or the official site of NHAI. Once it is bought, it must be connected with your Fastag account. This station will enable the payment of toll in a faster way.
The Single Vehicle, Single Fastag Rule
There is a precious regulation that has occurred in 2025. It is now only a Fastag required per vehicle. Travelling with more than one Fastag can be penalized. This is to ensure that the toll system is open and becomes systematic.
KYC Obligation
The KYC has been made compulsory in Fastag by reserve bank of India. In the absence of KYC, fastag can end up getting disabled. Accordingly, renew the KYC of your Fastag before time. It may be done on-line or in the closest bank.
Extra Fee On Low Funds
Under the rule that would take effect on February 17, 2025, one will have to pay twice the amount at the toll plaza in case there is lack of balance in the Fastag. This is a requirement so as to avoid fraud and ease in paying toll. It is important to ensure that there is always enough amount at the Fastag account.
